Fantasy F1: Bit of a problem with these new sprint races. Qualifying is now on the Friday. I don't really want to mess with the rules
mid-season so we'll carry on having teams locked on Friday night, which means you can already see the qualifying results. But the scores are based on the GRID, not the
qualifying, so effectively it's the result of Saturday's sprint race. We'll run with that for now and see how it goes.

The plot - genius in its daftness - involves Jason Statham being injected in his sleep by a lethal Chinese cocktail that
requires him to generate a continuous stream of adrenaline in order to stay alive. This idea epitomises the movie - it's
blindingly obvious that it's only there to support the action. Accept this ludicrousness and you're rewarded with a
hilarious torpedo-ride through Jason's day, with as many funny moments as there are energetic ones. Never one to take his
movies too seriously, Jason Statham is fantastic in another ideal role for him and, though not quite as absurd as his
You can imagine the writers sitting in the pub writing Crank - "I know!" says one, "to raise his adrenaline level, let's
have him shag his girlfriend in the middle of a bustling market!" "Brilliant!" says the other, "Jack Daniel's all round!"
The movie is full of this kind of nonsense, and you'll either love it or hate it. It plays exactly like a mission in
the video game Grand Theft Auto - go here, pick up tablet, chase so-and-so, shoot bad guys, run away, and all against the
clock, with pumping style and visual flair to spare. It's a surprise not to find Luc Besson in the credits, as he
usually has a hand in these cool frenetic movies, but he's clearly here in spirit, along with some fresh new ideas to
move the game on. Why, though, did the satellite photos within the movie have to have credits on them?!
I hope that's not a sign of things to come.
